`Relation shift´
2019

Stones, cushions, soundless cracking agent

The work consists of a group of rocks arranged in a free formation on the floor and each placed on a cushion. The starting set up was borrowed from Mono-ha (School of Things) artist Lee Ufan´s piece Relatum (1971-2019, formerly Language, 1971). Where Relatum seems to explore the relations between nature and culture in the Industrial era, Relation Shift explores the relations from the current posthuman perspective.  Presence and tension were created by drawing a line between rest and tremble.
